Fishing Fun!

So, Christian and I have been wanting to go fishing for awhile now! We finally had time to go! just east of Saratoga Springs on the way to Lehi is a little river that connects Utah lake and the Great Salt Lake. I have no idea what it is called, but it is gorgeous, and we had fun! We didn't catch anything unfortunately, but it was nice to relax outside with a cool breeze! A couple of days ago we went to America's Premier Outfitter, Sportsman's Warehouse to get me a new fishing pole. Well, since I am such an avid fisher-woman (some say I was a pro) I decided to get the pink and purple disney princess pole! It is super cute and it came with my very own tackle box! haha Well, it was only 12 bucks. Christian bought some good curly tailed jigs, some billy bobbers, marshmallow powerbait, and some spinners (I got a pink spinner) The reason I am telling you what he bought is because of the names for these things, they make me laugh! Aren't they hilarious? Anyway~ we had a good time! Even though we didn't get any fish. Maybe we will have better luck in St. George. Here I am with my cute new pole! You are all jealous!

Thorpe Family Din Din

Every month we get together with the Thorpe family and have an excellent dinner, great conversation and tons of laughs! Oh my goodness do we laugh! I was hungry by the time I left because I had worked off all of my food! It was great fun! We celebrated Tiffany and Bricker's birthdays while we were there too! Happy B-day guys! We only got one picture (which isn't that great) because unfortunately our photographer Devin, and Gail and Dayton couldn't attend, but hopefully we will catch them next month. The rest of the family did get to come however, Christian's brothers and sisters and all the little kids were there, and even our "almost" new addition Jon who, according to Emerson, "Has the coolest job, cuz he makes toys!" So, it was great to have that many there! We went to Sweet Tomatoes in Sandy. All 22 of us! We all enjoyed the food and had an excellent time! I love getting together with them. I had a blast!

Summer Fun, Having a Blast!

Christian and I decided to go on a little adventure today. Try things new. So, we went to a restaurant we had never been to called JCW's it is a burger joint by Thanksgiving Point. It was actually very tasty! Real barbequed, juicy hamburgers.

So, I would recommend it!

Next we went to this new place called Liberty Fun Park. If you have heard of Boondock's or Fiesta Fun in St George, it is very similar. Just opened a month ago. It is right off the freeway in Lehi, great for the little kids because everything is miniaturized. Small rollercoaster, small racetrack, small "Rocket" ride and "Tidal Wave" ride. It also has bumper boats, a carousel, a covered pavilion where you can eat, and a very small train track ride. The miniature golf course is 18 holes, and was pretty fun! We love miniature golfing! It was a great atmosphere and since it is new, not many people know about it so there were only two families in the whole place!

So, this I would definitely recommend for parent's! It is 16.50 for an unlimited pass! That is a pretty cheap day, especially with how expensive Lagoon is now. They are still in the process of building the inside, but it will eventually be an arcade and lasertag area.

So, we added to our summer festivities. We didn't exactly complete all we wanted to this summer with our work schedules, but it has been quite fun! We may be taking a vacation to Pheonix to visit some friends in October, so that will be fun! Hope everybody is doing well!

What time is it? Summer Time!!!

Christian and I have been having a very eventful Summer so far! I haven't had a chance to even Blog about it. This is us at Gallivan Plaza watching the fireworks on the 23rd. We have made it a tradition that last couple of years to camp out on the parade route for Pioneer Days! We had a blast! We set up our tent and sleeping bags and then went to the Culture Fest at Gallivan. We ate at the very crowded (only place open) Carl's Jr. and then went back to our tent and watched Ghostbuster's on our Laptop! We got very little sleep due to all the noise, but it was way fun! the next Morning we watched the parade. Couldn't show you all the floats, but I thought I would show you the most important one!! BYU!!!!!

There were a ton of great floats! I can't beleive the time and money that goes into it! We also got to see Thomas S. Monson riding in a convertible with an adorable Cowboy hat on! It was awesome! After the parade we went home and took a nap. That night we lit our own fireworks (pathetic ones, but fun ones) at our house. It was a great Pioneer Day!!! I can't wait for next year!

Also, This Summer a very exciting thing has happened! I am an aunt again! His name is Owen Benjamin Talbot! He is super cute! To give Mommy a break I took Taylor and Morgan for a girl's night and we watched the 3-D Hannah Montana concert! Man did they love it!!! We got Hannah Montana bracelets, tattoos, and little ceasers pizza! I love spending time with my neices and nephews!!! They are so stinkin cute!!! See, look......

My Mom and I drove to the Hospital in Moroni at 11:30pm. Got there at about 1:00am. and stayed there until 11:00am!!! Owen was a stubborn little boy! He was warm and did not want to come out! I am so glad I got to be there when he was born though! It is great hearing that first cry! Baby Owen and Jamie are both doing excellent! He is super cute and loves his brother and sisters! We are so glad to have another baby and my summer couldn't have been better!

Summer Fun!!!

Well, not much to update, but we have been having a great Summer so far!

We don't do much, but work. haha On our off days however, we try to have some fun!

Our last day off, we went to a double feature movie at Thanksgiving point. We saw Ironman, and then had a picnic on the grass, walked around the gorgeous gardens!!! and then saw The Hulk. Both were very good movies! And we had a great time together!

We have also been enjoying some family time. We camped outside my Mom's backyard and roasted marshmallows in her firepit with my sister, and neices and nephew and the kids ran through the sprinklers when they came to visit our house, it was great fun!

Also, this summer we have decided to complete our yard. We put in the grass last year and flowers and bushes this year. We aren't finished yet, but it is coming along. finally starting to look like our Home. Christian is loving every minute of it! How many wives can say their husbands get excited to mow the lawn and pull weeds? Mine does! It's great!

Getting to know us

Well, most of you already know us, but here is some updated info and new pictures!

We are very excited for summer to come! Luckily the weather has stayed decent, a few scattered showers, but we love the rain. (we miss Washington)

Work is going well, we actually have our Company Party tomorrow, hopefully we will win some cool prizes, but with our luck probably not. Oh well. It will be fun! I planned the whole thing so it better be!

We went on a cruise in March to the Mexican Riviera! So fun! I can't post all the pictures, sorry. But it was the best vacation ever! If you haven't been on a cruise I highly suggest you go! It is worth the money!!!

We have been trying to make our new house look more like our home, so I will post pictures soon of what we have done. Christian is super excited to mow "his lawn" and pull "his Weeds." And I am super excited I don't have to do that. I just get to plant my flowers and greenery!!!
