SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going to be a small, but exciting post! I found out today that my best friend Marie is pregnant!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Congrats Marie! I am so excited for you and Lukas to start your family! I am so excited to go shopping and throw you a shower!!! I know you will be great parents!

So, today I get a text message, "Check your email!!!" So, I ran to the computer to check (I was thinking immediately that she was going to tell me that she was pregnant) So, I pull up her email and it is titled, "What is this?" And attached to the email are pictures of her ultrasound! It was awesome! So I imediately called her! She told me she is 7 weeks along and had her first doctor's appointment yesterday. It was great to talk to her about it and I am so excited to share this experience with her! We are growing up so fast! I am so excited to have our kids grow up together (no I am not pregnant, haha)

This was just a great day! I am so excited for my best friend!

Great Week!

We had a spectacular week this past week! Work went well, slow, but well. I was able to do a bunch of catching up which is always good! We had a fabulous girl's night on Wednesday! I love getting together with just girls every once in awhile! And the more girl's the more fun we have!!!

On Thursday I had a much needed day off and was able to get things done around the house, and Christian and I ran some errands. We have decided part of our tax return is going to a cheap elliptical, the rest is going in savings. Thanks to Turbo tax we are excited because we are getting a great return this year!!! Hopefully we can get a good "Baby Bank" going! If you have never used it and are wondering, YES!!! Buy it!!! WE spent $26 to get our taxes done this year!!! Can't beat that! It is super easy to use! We are grateful we can get money back without paying a "taxman." So, we went to Sears and Walmart to check out their elliptical. We found a couple that we like, but we are going to look around a little bit more so we make sure we get the right one! Any pointers would be greatly appreciated! I am just excited to work out from home on my FAVORITE piece of gym equipment!

Any who~ So Thursday night I met up with Meghann, Jenna, her daughter, and Leann. We started at Red robin at the District for dinner. I got their chicken tortilla soup, YUMMY!!! We had to save room for the theatre popcorn!!! It was great to hang out with Meghann and Leann again, and also great to finally meet Jenna! Meghann's long time friend from High School, whom she talks about all the time! She was a lot of fun and her daughter was adorable! So, after dinner we walked to the theatre to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was a cute movie, kinda strange, but cute. I would recommend seeing it, but wait for Redbox! I am glad I got to hang out with them and see that movie! It was a great night!!! (Pics were forgotten) I love this pic of her though, it shows how we all feel when we just HAVE to have that perfect item!!!

Friday was just a normal day of work, lots of phone calls, data entry, gift cards, dailies, coupons, more phone calls, and stupid Customer charges making me want to rip my head off!!! I HATE taking the spot of an Office Manager who was literally retarded and how NO CLUE how to do her job. This means I get to come in after her and try to clean up the mess. Our corporate office is being audited right now and they are wanting record of all of our old Gift Certificates that were hand written, well since I have been there, 2 years now, I have yet to find them. So, I have people calling left and right trying to get the numbers and I can't help them, that is fun, let me tell you!!! Anyway, it really was a good day at work, plus I got to work with Meghann for a little bit. She left to go shopping with Leann, but text me around 6 and told me she wanted us to meet her at Training Table for dinner, so we did! It was fun and really yummy! It was crazy packed! I didn't realize how popular Training Table was! Weird! Anyway it was fun and Christian was finally able to meet Leann. It was a good night! (Again, no pics)

Saturday we worked and it was a normal day, but unusually slow for a Saturday. Maybe it just went slow because I so excited!!! After work we were going to the Temple Open House!!! We were super excited! It was awesome! We met at Subway for dinner first. It was great because we were able to get so many people to come! Me and Christian, Jamie and Jon and their kids, Mandy, Troy and Nick, My Mom and Jeff, Cody and Shannon, and my Aunt and Uncle, Linda and Frank! We ate the cheap and yummy $5 foot longs at Subway and then headed over.

You park at a church and then take a bus to the Temple. We waited for about 45 minutes for the bus, but we made it fun by taking pictures, and laughing at Owen's new cheesy grin! They first led us into the Chapel to see a film about Temples which was a great beginning! Then we boarded the bus and headed to the Temple. It was awesome because it was night time so the temple looked gorgeous all lit up! It was great to go through with Mandy, who has never seen a Temple. She was so excited! And the kids LOVED it too! I am so glad I was able to be there with my Best Friend on her first time and be able to explain things to her and see her reaction to things! It was a great experience and I am so glad we went!

After the Temple Jamie and Jon and the kids were able to come back to our house and sleep over! We put the kids to bed and played games. We played Whoonu, I LOVE that game. We played a bunch of different rounds! It was great! The next morning they were all able to come to church with us! We had a special Relief Society Lesson so I didn't have to teach. We went into Singing Time where I got to have Morgan in my class and Jamie sat with us too! It was a good singing time, better than most. We only had one kid acting out, instead of 4!!! YAY! That night I cooked a dinner for all of us, and Mandy and Troy came over to Join us as well! I made a maple and brown sugar ham, au gratin potatoes, corn and rolls, Mandy brought a salad, and Jamie made a raspberry dessert and lemon dessert. It was a great dinner and fun to have them all over!

We had a good time with the kids, we watched a veggietales movie, played games, and Jon decided Owen needed a little ride. It was pretty funny because he loved it!

After dinner Mandy and Troy stayed to watch the Oscars! It was fun, but we realized it is a little boring. I actually felt asleep for a little part of it. But it was still cool to watch it, especially with friends over! Mandy decided it is a tradition. If anybody wants to join us next year you are welcome!!!
So, we had a lot of fun! I LOVE having Jamie, Jon, and all my cute little nieces and nephews over! I get to go to their house this week! I am going to stay over Wednesday over to Thursday, cuz I have Thursday off. I'm excited to play with them again. So, it was a great week, followed by a great weekend!

Good Times ~ GG's!!!!

This Past Monday was an excellent day! Me, Mandy, and Marie were able to hang out ALL together! Unfortunately it was payroll day for me so I couldn't take the whole day off, but I was able to take off a couple hours to hang out with them! It was fantastic! We met up at Kneaders for lunch and it sure was tasty! It was so packed though! I couldn't believe how many people were there, but we found a table and were able to enjoy our lunch!

We talked about so many things! It was so great to catch up and just mingle with all three of us! It doesn't happen very often. I hang out with Mandy all the time, and I had just recently hung out with Marie, but with all of our busy schedules and living far away from each other it makes it difficult sometimes. Since we were having so much fun at lunch, Mandy had an excellent idea to meet up again for dinner with our husbands! Which we also don't get to do very often. We seem to make it work for birthdays, but that is only six times a year. So, we finished up lunch and I went back to work and they went back to Marie's to hang out a little more.

I LOVE playing with my Best Friends! We have such a great time together! It is great because we can reminisce so much because we have been friends for so long! We are fun, goofy, but very sexy girls! HA HA!

We met up at 6 at Red Robin for dinner. It was great to see Lukas and Troy! The six of us have so much fun together! We were able to talk, and Laugh a ton! I cried several times from laughing so hard! We ate some excellent food and took some fun pictures! Some pics turned out, not so cute, ha ha. We had an excellent time! We talked about getting together again soon, hopefully we can make it work with our schedules! Because I LOVE hanging out with all six of us! Or even just the three of us girl's! We had a great night! Unfortunately we didn't take a pic of all six of us. We got just the girls and just the guys, But oh well. We've all got some pretty cute hubbies!

Girl's Night!!!

The third Wednesday of EVERY month is Girl's Night! We just started this last month so hopefully we end up getting a bunch of girl's in a couple months! We have been having Girl's nights for awhile and decided we needed to set an official Girl's Night date so we can always plan for it! Great idea Meghann!!! We can do it anywhere! We went out to Olive Garden last month! This time we decided to go a little cheaper and just play at my house! So this time it was Me, Mandy, Karen (my mom) Jamie and little owen. We had a great time!

So, last night our plan was to come to my house for chick flicks, yummy food, card making, and just plain fun! Unfortunately not everybody could make it, but it was still fun! We started out the night just talking and catching up, then we watched Idol! We are all a little obsessed with that show and we were all SO happy that Tatiana didn't make it! What a drama queen! We were happy though for Alexis, and Danny!!! During Idol we ate dinner. We had Little Ceasers Pizza, not much, but it is cheap and tasty! We also had other snack food, Jamie had brought a fruit salad and my mom brought donuts, and I had made a strawberry cheescake!

We all started making cards during American Idol and kept making them after it was over. We LOVE to make cards and it is awesome to see what everybody can come up with! We are all so crafty and creative! haha! Since Idol was over we decided it was time for the chick flick. So we put in Fool's Gold and watched it while we made cards. And then we all sat in the living room and watched it when we were done making cards. It was so great to get together with them! We took a bunch of pics and had fun talking and playing with Owen!

It was a great Girl's Night and I am so glad they got to come to my house! We all live far away from each other so don't get to see each other as much as we would like. Mandy lives in Springville, My mom and Jamie live in Layton, I live in Eagle Mountain, and the other girls are scattered from Salt Lake, Bountiful, Riverton, and Murray, so it is very nice when we all get to hang out together! I am so happy we decided to do this and can't wait for more Girl's Nights to come! And look at that~ I remembered to take pics! We are not sure what the next Girl's Night will be, but I can promise you it will be fun!!! Any suggestions let me know! We are thinking of having a Hotel night sometime in March or April and split between all the girl's would make it very cheap! We could swim, watch movies, hang out, and play silly Slumber Party Games!!! Remember girl's you are NEVER too old to play and what better place to make a fool of yourself than with all your best Girlfriends?

Remember.....Every third Wednesday! Mark it on your calendar for next month! EVERY girl is invited whether you know everybody, or just one other person you will feel welcome and have an excellent time! Don't be shy! Hope you join us next time! We had a blast this time and can't wait for the next one!

Brittany and Christian's Day of fun!!!!

Well, Christian and I usually always have our days off together, but since it is our only day off it is spent doing a lot of errands, cleaning, or we are doing different things. So, since all of our errands and cleaning were done by me earlier in the week, Christian decided he was planning a day for us! It was great! I love when he surprises me with activities! He is a good little planner so we ALWAYS have fun!

Ever since we moved here, a year and a half ago we have wanted to chek out downtown Lehi. Sounds wierd I know, but we both love little town shops. So, first stop was a Pioneer party and Copy shop. It was so funny, it was a store that had everything! Little knick knacks, candy, soda, greeting cards, all your party supplies, a copy center, a balloon center, but also a bunch of stuff that could be found at the quilted bear~Homemade crafts and such. Another row over was a bunch of homemade baby/toddler clothing, and Squeaker Shoes!!!! It was such a cute little family run business! So, we bought a couple penny candies and a drink and then kept going on our little adventure. Our next stop was Deadwood pawn, where we got some great dvd's for $3 bucks each! We also found another wireless xbox controller for 20 bucks!!! We kept looking around and we came across some fishing stuff, and waders, with a big Sportsman's Warehouse log on them! It was awesome! We stopped at a couple more little shops down the road, but didn't purchase anything, just looked. It was great to finally do it though! We enjoyed it! It is just so cute, to see the little places. Even the cute little Barber Shop that still has a great clientel!

Christian's next idea was lunch, but we HAD to eat somewhere we had never been. So we decided to start driving and look. But first, on our drive, we saw a Pet store and We both LOVE animals so we stopped to take a look.

It was so much fun. They had the cutest little puppies, bunnies, and froggies there, it was awesome! We really wanted to buy one, but had to remind ourselves that we just got rid of one!!! They were just so darn cute! I double dog dared Christian to hold a Tarantula, I even offered him 5 bucks, but he said NOWAY!!! I don't think I could do it either though! So we just looked. It was a fun little stop.

After that we started back on our restaurant search. So, we drove a little further into American Fork where we had never been and by the Hospital there was this cute little diner called Spanky's, so we decided that is where we would stop! We were pleasantly surprised!!! They serve breakfast all day so Christian got pancakes, bacon, and eggs and it was great! I got a corndog and fries kids meal and it was also delicious.

We noticed when we were pulling into the restuarant that there was an arcade, so we went to check it out after we ate. We went upstairs and turns out it was much more than an arcade. It was a cute little lounge with nice couches, a large tv, arcade games, an ice hockey table, and a pool table. So we played pool. Christian killed me both times, but it was fun to play! It was such a fun little hang out spot. It would be a fun and cheap little group date if anybody is interested in coming with us next time! We were so glad we picked that spot to eat, because it ended up being our next activity!

On with the fun! After that we went to Thanksgiving point to see a movie, but it didn't start for an hour so we decided to go to the Rod Works Clearance Center. It is Awesome! Everything is Half off, and it is not damaged stuff! It's all really cute! So, we bought our Valentine's present their. Everything outside was already discounted and you got to take an additional 50% off! We got a new rod iron bench for the front of our house. $40 bucks! Normally $100! Woot Woot!!! I LOVE saving money! We also got a vase and placemat for our table super cheap!

So, Christian's final activity was the matinee. After Rod Works we went to our movie. We went to see Taken and it was great! Highly recommended! We both love Liam Neeson and he did an excellent job! After the movie we went home and watched American Idol! We have quite a few favorites right now! We are excited to watch it now that it has gotten down to fewer people! We LOVE that show!

So, Brittany and Christian's Day Of Fun, was just that! Christian did an excellent job planning! I love that we always try new places! Most of the time they are little dives that turn out to be favorites! We had a great time! I am so grateful I can have these days with him! We don't even have to spend a lot of money, it is just fun to be with him! We can make any activity fun! I was luckily enough to marry my Best Friend and can't wait for more exciting days out!!!

Time for some fun!!!

Since the Expo was a little exhasuting and I had work 8 and a half days straight I decided I needed a few days off!!! So, I took Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off, and had a ton of fun! Also got a TON of stuff accomplished! I have been wanting to clean and organize for awhile now! Luckily I had time to do that and have fun!

But first, I had fun on Monday night! I went to Marie's house! It was so great to catch up with her! We met up at her house and then we both had some errands to run so we went shopping and hung out. We stopped for pizza at Papa Murphy's and went back to her house. It was great to sit and talk with her while we ate some great food! We realized our marriage and our husbands are a lot alike. It was just nice to have a relaxing night with one of my best friends and have such good conversation! Unfortunately we were both having too much fun to stop and take any pics. Oops! Oh well, imagine in your head two amazing looking girls having a great girl's night! Got it? Ya, it was kinda like that!

First day off was Tuesday, February 10th. Meghann's Birthday!!!! We met at Training Table for lunch to celebrate! Just the girl's! It was great! I gave Meghann a gift of her favorite things. Diet Coke, Cinnamon Bears, Wheat Thins, Cookies, 5 gum. I also gave her a cute black frame with a black and white picture of us in it. Kinda cheesy gift, but it's fun!

Me and Meghann's Pose!

Me, Roxsan, Christina, Meghann,
Kaycee, and Meghann's Mom all came to lunch

After lunch I went shopping a little bit with her. We went to the District and went to American Eagle and The Buckle. She got some super cute pants! and they were on sale! YAY! It was great to go out with the girls from work! And Meghann seemed to have a good birthday!
After shopping I went home and started my projects. I am normally not in a cleaning mood, but that day I was! I am always in an organizing mood! That's my OCD coming out! I started cleaning Tuesday and went into Wednesday. I wrote myself a list of everything I wanted to do! I don't remember which day I did what, but this is the gist of what I did.
So, I started in the kitchen, while I watched Ellen (love that show) I cleaned all the cabinets and counters, swept, mopped, and cleaned the stove. Next was dusting (yes Mom I dusted!!!) I just recently got a new microfiber duster and it worked awesome! I dusted all of my light fixtures, tables, vases, book shelf, tv and tv stand, knick knacks, computer desk, computer, I mean everything!!! It was great! Then I did all the normal cleaning, vacuum, bathrooms, laundry, etc.
After the laundry I started my first big project! My closet!!! We have a walk in closet, at least now we do, before it was a storage closet! It was great, I got rid of three garbage bags of clothes! I organized my closet bakc to they way I like it ~ Hoodies, seperated into color groups on one rod. Sweaters and long sleeves, seperated into colors on another rod. Shirts, seperated into colors on another rod. And the final rod seperated into dresses, long skirts, short skirts, and jeans, dress pants, and colored pants. It is a glorious sight to see!!! Again my OCD kicking in!
I was so glad to get that cleaning out of the way!!! I LOVED it! My Mother rubbed off on me and I am glad! After I finished my side of the closet on Tuesday night Christian came home from work so we hung out. Watched movies and had a very intense battle of Mario Kart. It was a great day!
Wednesday I continued my cleaning with Christian's side of the closet. You can now also walk into his side! I organized his in groups as well, but I am pretty sure it has already been mixed up. He obviously does NOT have OCD. Oh well, it is still clean! I also decorated my room a little bit more. I added some letters that I painted on the wall that say "LOVE" and I added a basket with wooden balls. I baked some brownies for our Relief Society Enrichment which was that night and then my sister and her kids came over, so we visited. Christian got to experience "Daddy Life" that night since Jamie and I were going to Relief Society he watched three kids. He said he had a blast! They colored, played guys, and played mario kart.

While Jamie and I had a TON of fun! Our Enrichment was "Chocolate Appreciation night" It was great! We had a huge amount of chocolate goodies! I made chocolate cheescake brownies. Yummy! Every table had a chocolate fountain and plenty of good stuff to dip in it!

If you can't read the little plaque, it says:
Chocolate is the Answer, who cares what the question is

I love it!

After we ate a little bit we played a speed dating type game, but they called it "Fast Friendshipping" We were all lined up across from each other and had certain topics to talk about in a minute, then she would yell out switch, and you would have another girl to talk to. It was SO great! I needed that so bad because I don't know very many people in our ward and now I do! It was a ton of fun, and i had another GREAT girl's night! I was so glad Jamie could come and join me! I love my ward! It is mostly people around my age so it makes each party so much fun! My Enrichment Leader is so awesome! She put this all together and it turned out excellent! Best Enrichment I have been to in a long time!

You can't play after the work! You must play during the work!!!

February 5-8 was the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo at the Salt lake Convention Center (Salt Palace) Which means I worked off site all week.
This show is put on by FNAWS, which is the Foundation of North American Wild Sheep. This is a very large and Classy group which means most of the people coming are rich and classy as well. So, each night they had a banquet in which they auctioned hunts to the the highest bidder. The most expensive hunt................ $225,000! Yes, I put the right amount of zeros! Pretty crazy huh! Not all hunters are rednecks! These shows are A LOT of work, but fun in the end. It is always good to get out of the store every once in awhile. Plus, I got to spend EVERY day ALL day with my bestest friend Meg-Hann!!! It is great to have my assistant be one of the my best friends! It makes planning, shopping, and working at a very boring booth, WAY MORE FUN!!!

We had a large booth and were one of the main sponsors of the show. We also had our registers in two other booths. They were selling clothing, but we were getting credit for it. But that meant that two cashiers had to be alone at each booth. But since Meghann and I are inseparable we couldn't let that happen. So, she was a cashier and I was "signing people up for our credit card" Ya right! we got two apps in 4 days! haha We were basically standing around, talking, taking pictures, goofing off on our phones, and the best part- making fun of the crazy outfits, hairdos, and people walking through the show! We only had to be at that booth for part of the day, but we made the best of it! The rest of the time we were slacking off in our large booth. Having fun with everybody else- Tim, Ty, Troy, Jon, and Ashlee! Even Christian was able to come and have fun with us! And he didn't even have to work! Unfortunately he got attacked by a bear while we were looking the other way. Oops!

Ashlee, Me, and Meghann Working way too hard!

It was a great show! We had fun, made some money, and it went so smooth! Set up and take down was a breeze. Last year for set up, I decided it would be fun to slice my finger open with a box cutter and then go to the hospital for 5 stitches!!! Turns out, it's really not fun, I wouldn't recommend it! However, our Archery manager decided he needed to try it, but he had to trump me! The take down day he sliced his wrist with a box cutter! He was rushed to the hospital and ended up having to get surgery. He still has no feeling in his arm! Yikes! So, we had minor casualties this year! Meghann cut her knuckle, but she was a trooper. Later that day I sliced my finger on the register, but no worries a band aid was all I needed! It just wouldn't have been an expo without me slicing my finger open. And don't you worry, my coworkers made sure I got a ton of crap for it during the entire show!

Tim may not have cut himself with a box cutter, but he thought it was a good idea to sit down on a cardboard box. Yep, you guessed it, he went right through it! It was hilarious! He was kind enough to let me take a picture of him while he reinacted it for all of us to see.
Poor Jon is a busy man everyday, but put him in charge of a very large expo and you are likely to see him go like Speedy Gonzalez! We had to take a picture of him on his phone because anytime you looked it was attached to his ear!
Meghann and I decided to take up a new hobbie! No, not really. It was pretty funny though to see adults walking around the expo at 10:00 in the morning with a beer! For some reason our registers were the hip place to set down your empty bottles! Even though the garbage can was literally five steps away! People make me laugh sometimes! But hey, what are you gonna do? Also, after taking up drinking, I realized on the way home, I don't hold my alcohol well, and I am not a pretty drunk!
Ok, not really. But we were goofing off with the camera in the car and I got this lovely pic of myself. Goes well with the beer shot eh?
So, it was a great week! Meghann and I were glad the day it ended because we were both so tired, but when we got back Monday to our very large stack of paperwork on my desk, we were both wishing we could have gone back to the Expo!!!

One last pic, with one last story. Unfortunately you can't see the posters very well, but this guy made mormon's look very bad! I agree we shouldn't shoot for fun, but MOST hunters shoot for food. His posters quoted from teh scriptures. One said "The blood of EVERY beast will be upon your hands" He was ranting and raving about how hunting is bad, and guns are bad, etc. It was so funny, we HAD to get a picture! It was the perfect ending to a fun expo! We ended up having a great time and now have so many funny little inside jokes from people yelling at us, Brittany showing her terrible road rage, stinky Sam's Club, and a whole bunch more! It was the best week of work I have had in a very long time!!!

Good Times!!!

On Saturday night Christian and I were able to go out with our friends Dave and Sarah Martin. We went to high school with Dave and don't get to see them very often so it was great to see them! When Christian and Dave get together it's like they haven't been apart, they can always catch up right where they left off, joking and laughing like crazy! I love it!
So, last night we met up at TGIFridays after work at Foothill for dinner. It was great food, and we were able to catch up with each other.
After dinner we stopped at Dan's to get some ice cream. We then went to their apartment to check it out. They live in the Student Housing apartments by the U, and it was decorated so cute! We got some games and went to Sarah's parents house.

WHO NEEDS A WII, WHEN YOU HAVE AN N64?

We played Mariokart on nintendo 64, it was so much fun! I realized that I am NOT good at that game, but it was still fun! We decided we need to have more old fashioned nintendo nights. Dave and Christian kept talking about
"Starfox" We didn't play that but it was funny to see them talk about the game and how the graphics are so terrible! Dave won pretty much every race, but there was one that I actually finished!!! YAY!
After we played games Sarah made homemade oreo shakes! Sarah and I took turns crushing the oreos while we played. She then took vanilla ice cream and milk and mixed it all together. They were so yummy!
It was a great night and I am so glad we were able to get together with them! Unfortunately I completely forgot to take pictures, but just imagine us laughing so hard I was crying, Having a blast playing nintendo, and eating really good shakes!!! Can't wait until we hang out with them again!
