Vacation Time!!!!

We went to St George for about a week for one last Summer Fling! We had an awesome time!!! Grandpa let us stay at Arlene's house, which was great! (and free)

We wanted a small vacation where we could just get away, but not spend too much money! So, this was perfect! Our first activity was to go shopping at the outlet stores, and to make a stop at the Sportsman's Warehouse there. It is always fun to go see how other stores are merchandising, and what products they have that we don't. The outlets are always fun, we found some good deals and had fun taking some pictures.

Every Sportsman's has a "bronze" out front, there's was awesome, it even had a waterfall!

We had a lot of fun in the stores! We tried on $1300 coats and vests! Yikes!

We also went to a Tuachan play while we were there. Which if you have never been, I highly recommend it! We went with Brandon and Natalie to see Les Miserables! It was amazing! Every person they got to play the characters was an awesome singer and actor! Before the play we went to dinner at the Cracker Barrel with Brandon and Natalie and Craig and Peggy and the kids. Unfortunately I only took this one picture the whole night, but it is super cute!!! We had tons of fun and were way glad we got to spend time with family while we were there!

Brandon and his adorable Halle!

One of our favorite St. George activities is Hiking on the red rocks! So, we took a bunch of great pictures up there! I love looking down on the town and the gorgeous temple from on top of the rocks! Christian was climbing the rocks, and actually got up really high! We also spent some time outside at Quail Creek Reservoir. Christian went fishing and caught about 20 fish! He loved it! His best catch was a 20 inch Large bass. It was awesome! I also caught two fishies! I more enjoyed being there for the swimming and the laying out though! It was awesome weather and the water wasn't freezing! Christian loved fishing and being outside as well! He swam a little bit, but he wanted to hop right back out and fish somemore!

Hiking the red rocks!

Christian nearly hiked to the top!

Having fun swimming!!!

Christian's pride and Joy! (looks smaller than it was)

We also got to go to the St. George Temple for the first time! It was amazing! It is so awesome to me how gorgeous ALL of the Temples are! The craftsmanship inside is so detailed and outstanding! Christian and I decided we want to go to all of the ones in Utah! If we make it to other ones out of state, that is even better, but we definitely want to go to all of the ones in Utah! So far we have 3 down, and 1 down in Washington!

We took some pictures out in front of the Temple. It is gorgeous!!!

Yes, I planned our outfits! haha

We had plans to go to the "Downtown Friday Night" party, but it was pretty pathetic, I think there were four booths, a terrible band playing (which was hilarious) and probably ten people. So, when we were driving away from it, we noticed that there was a rodeo happening that night. So, we went! It was fun! Christian enjoyed it a little more than myself, (it was very hot and it stunk!!!) but it was fun for both of us! I think my husband is a cowboy at heart, even though he hates country music. There were some pretty cool buck offs, and a 9 year old barrel racer, who got second! It was awesome! So, we add fun, even though it was stinky!

So, St George was a blast! In fact we were having so much fun, the night before we had to come home we pulled an all nighter. Well, kinda we went to bed at like 4. It was fun! We love St. George, if we didn't have our favorite house we would transfer to that store in a heart beat!!! So, since we love our house and love living close to family and friends we decided we will retire there, or have a house here and there, like my Grandpa. We love it! We plan to go there every year! We enjoyed hiking, the weather, and the shopping. Especially after we learned Brandon's little shopping secret!!! Thanks to him Christian bought 4 new shirts!!! Thanks Dino!!! That was the best Summer wrap up ever!!! Now we get to look forward to Christmas!!!! You can count down with me if you look on the side of my blog! haha get excited!!!! Start shopping!!! Wahoo!

Familia!!!

On Sunday Sept. 14th we had my aunt and uncle's baby blessing for Little Baby Taya. Afterwards we had a luncheon and took some family photos. It was great fun! We don't get to see the whole family very often anymore because we all live far away. Some in Layton, some in Salt Lake, some in St George. So, it was good to see everybody. Our family pictures turned out great! We also decided to have a little fun with the pics too. As you can see below. It was a great way to end the weekend! Now I'm just super excited to go to St. George!

Fishing Fun!

So, Christian and I have been wanting to go fishing for awhile now! We finally had time to go! just east of Saratoga Springs on the way to Lehi is a little river that connects Utah lake and the Great Salt Lake. I have no idea what it is called, but it is gorgeous, and we had fun! We didn't catch anything unfortunately, but it was nice to relax outside with a cool breeze! A couple of days ago we went to America's Premier Outfitter, Sportsman's Warehouse to get me a new fishing pole. Well, since I am such an avid fisher-woman (some say I was a pro) I decided to get the pink and purple disney princess pole! It is super cute and it came with my very own tackle box! haha Well, it was only 12 bucks. Christian bought some good curly tailed jigs, some billy bobbers, marshmallow powerbait, and some spinners (I got a pink spinner) The reason I am telling you what he bought is because of the names for these things, they make me laugh! Aren't they hilarious? Anyway~ we had a good time! Even though we didn't get any fish. Maybe we will have better luck in St. George. Here I am with my cute new pole! You are all jealous!

Mine and Christian's pose.

Aren't we cute!

Christian having the time of his life!

He loves fishing!
