Girl's Night!

Who would have thought, pizza, Friends DVDs, a couch, snacks, and a camera could be so much fun!!!

Last night we had an impromptu girl's night at Meghann's new condo. Meg, Me, Ashlee, and Kaycee all decided we wanted to hang out! So glad we did too!!! I have not laughed that hard in a long time! I felt like Junior High all over again, but in a good way. When you can be really stupid and not care what somebody thinks of you! Where you and your friends laugh at everything! Where taking goofy pics is the funnest activity EVER!!!

Yes, we are all adults. Yes I realize I am 24 years old, but I also realize we can still have fun!

We decided after counting to 3 you had to make a face for the picture.

Meghann's 3 second shot

Ashlee's 3 second shot

We had an awesome time! We all love Friends so we were laughing a lot at that, but we were all so tired that everything was super funny! We were all pretty crazy, but that just made it more fun! I can't wait to do it again!

July 24th Kassing Style!

On the night of Pioneer Day Meghann's Mom had invited us over to her house for a barbecue and fireworks! We have basically been adopted into her family! We love it! Her brothers and their wives are so nice and so accepting! Also, they all have very cute kids! We had a very yummy barbecue while we talked, hung out, played with the kids, and stuffed our faces! Christian and i loved the Baby Drew liked us! He kept reaching for Christian during the fireworks and Christian was having a blast!
The Kassing Family is super fun and we had a great time talking and laughing with them. We played with the kids too! Meghann and I pushed Gunner and Marin on the swings for a little bit. Gunner and I played rockEm SockEm robots! We watched some funny Utube videos, and then after dinner we went to the front yard to watch the guys light fireworks.

Angela, Meghann, and Kristin and her baby Drew

The kids enjoyed sitting and watching the fireworks for about 20 minutes and then played with cars, blankets, ate a ton of cookies, and ran around! But the adults were enjoying them! They had a great set of fireworks! And even though Meghann's brother probably doesn't have any hair left on his arm I think they enjoyed lighting them!
I love this pic of Sammy and Halle playing in the blanket!
Overall our 24th was excellent! The parade was great! The barbecue was great! The company was great and the fireworks show to end the night was great! Hope you all had a great one! Thanks to all who shared it with us!

Pioneer Day!

Christian and I have made a tradition for Pioneer day! Every year for the past 3 years we have slept over on the parade route for the 24th! We have had a blast doing it! We have the same spot every year, and enjoy ourselves every year!

This year we headed down around 5:30. We laid our blankets down on our spot and then headed to dinner. We went to the Gateway and ate at the Skybox which is very delicious! After dinner we walked around Gateway for about an hour, Christian got a Minnesota Vikings towel and I got a cute tank top from Old Navy.

In previous years they have had an Arts Festival going on at Gallivan Plaza. They have booths, music, and at the end a big fireworks display. Well this year they have started "Twilight Concert Series" (no not the book) And apparently it is HUGE!!! There were so many people there you could barely walk! We decided we would chek it out anyway, so we bobbed and weaved through the crowd, checked out a couple booths, got some snowies, listened to the music a little bit and decided we were done! Worst part! they weren't even going to do fireworks! Super sad day! So, we just decided to head back to our spot!

We got our stuff all set up and ready for the night. We brought games, movies, and a bunch of snacks so we were set! We decided to play Scrabble first, then we watched "Yes Man" on our Laptop. By the end of the movie it was about 1:00am so we decided to try to sleep. Good Luck! When there are a million people walking back and forth talking, music playing form the break dancers across the street, and the "glowstick salesman" yelling every 2 minutes it becomes very difficult to sleep!

Christian slept for about a half an hour and then was wide awake the rest of the night! I slept for about 2 hours. So we ended up taking silly pics to pass the time.

At 5:00am we were starving so we walked down to burger King to get breakfast and a very large diet coke to keep us awake! After Breakfast we set up our chairs on the parade route and watched the 10k runners go past! (I'm still baffled that people run for fun!) It is cool to see the age groups though! Some little kids probably around 10 years ran it, Old men and women probably in thier 70's were running it, and this guy even ran pushing his kids through the race! Pretty cool to see!

Mandy and Troy and Meghann and her boys, and Ashlee all came to meet up with us to watch the parade! Meghann's boys had never been to a parade before! (I know deprived kids huh!) haha! They enjoyed it! Call me crazy but for some reason I really enjoy parades! The floats, the bands, the crazy bike riders, The cops with mustaches on motorcycles, the heat, and especially the pooper scoopers! It is just so much fun! I can't wait to continue this tradition with my kids! I'm glad our friends were able to join us this year! I think the kids really liked it, even though halfway through they both asked to leave! guess everybody isn't as obsessed as me! Oh well!

There were some great floats this year! There were some cool cowgirls standing on top of horses instead of riding them.

Christian really liked the bagpipe marching band.

And my favorite!!! The "Utah Original Float" that included Fry Sauce!!!
I really enjoy our tradition! Even though you don't get much sleep it is super fun! And who doesn't like to watch the parade?!?

Fun Fun Fun!!!

Tuesday, July 21st was Owen's 1st birthday! So, after work we headed to Layton for his birthday party. His party was at my mom's house and it was our family there to celebrate! Jamie had made him a cake, he had a bunch of gifts to open and he was super excited!
Jamie had made Owen a car cake. owen is a little obsessed with cars and balls. He knows how to drive a car and makes the sound as he does it. So, what better cake than a car cake! Our family tradition is for the first birthday we let them "dig in" Her other 3 kids had to be forced to grab it because of the wierd texture. But Owen wasn't scared! He dug right in and got very messy!

For his gift we bought him a very cute outfit with camo pants and a yellow shirt with a monkey on the front! Plus, we got him a car with four little animals in it that can come out and when you press them down it plays a song! He wouldn't leave it alone! He just wanted to keep pushing it around it was super cute!

After the party Taylor had a play performance. She has been in a summer play camp and they were performing Hairspray! It was super cute and you could tell she LOVED being up on stage! I don't think she stopped smiling once! She did an excellent job!

That night we slept over at my mom's place and jon decided to go rent the movie Push. Don' waste your time! HAHA I fell asleep about 20 minutes into it, and apparently I didn't miss much! My family said it was a pretty weird movie, way too many twists and turns to follow! But it was fun to hang out with them and sleep over!

The next day we all went to the Hogle Zoo! We LOVE going there! My sister has a large family pass so we go quite a bit! the kids love watching the brid show, Owen LOVES the bears, and I just love seeing all the animals and watching them play. Especially the monkeys! There was a new baby monkey and it was so crazy to watch this little thing swing from his tail!

The Eagle in front of the flag is a cool shot!

We also enjoyed seeing the rhinos! They were so close to the window that we were able to get some great shots!

Christian got a great picture of the Red panda

We had an excellent time hanging out with the family, going to the zoo, and celebrating Owen's birthday! I still can't believe he grew up that fast!!! He is super cute and fun! We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to hang out again!

Fun Stuff!!!

On Wednesday night I drove to Layton to spend some time with my family. Wednesday night Jamie and Jon were on a date so my mom was tending. I helped her out and we decided we would go to Arctic Circle for dinner. They kids like their food and there is a play place. After dinner we let the kids play for a little bit and I was talking owen on the slides and he would go up and down the stairs and just LOVED the tunnel! He could hear his echo so he would scream and then laugh! It was super cute! So, we hung out with them for a little while and then met up with Jamie and Jon. My brother had a soccer game that night which we were going to go watch, however he thought it would be a good idea if Jamie and I played with him! So we did! It was so fun! It made me miss it really bad!!! I played soccer for 15 years of my life!!! I want to get back into it! However, the feeling of me legs the next couple days made me realize I am NOT 18 anymore! So, we went back to Jamie's and crashed! Well, we crashed on the couch, but Jamie and I stayed up talking until 2am! It was great!

The next day we went to my mom's house so she could color my hair. I decided I wanted to go dark all over! Which I am loving! So, after mine she was cutting Owen's hair, which by the pic you can tell he was not too pleased about!

While we were doing our hair, the girl's were out jumping on the tramp over the sprinkler in their swimming suits! it was so cute and they were laughing so hard that I had to get a pic! they play so well together!

After we got ready we took the kids to the castle park in kaysville, I wish I got a pic of the whole park because it is awesome! Tons of things to do! So, while we were there we played Hide and seek! We also went for a little walk down by the creek. It was super hot so we didn't stay too long, but the kids had fun!

And again, Owen loved playing!

That night My mom wanted to take just the girl's to get pampered! So, we went and got pedicures! it felt so great! it was nice to just relax and get a massage, talk with the girl's, and get our toe nails super cute for summer!

It was really nice of my mom to take us out to do that! We went to Fran Bown which is now a Miranella school which means they have way more money and they are making it look really nice inside! It was fun! We can't wait to do it again! ILOVE girl's nights!!!

Here is the pic of our cute toes! We all loved getting a pedicure! My mom and I got pink and jamie got a pinkish orange color. They were all really cute and bright! plus we all got white flowers on them!

Afterwards we went and got a rainbow at pace's. Which is a slushie with ice cream and fresh strawberries! Super yummy!

The next day I had to go to work. :( It was ok though! We had a great couple of days! Plus we get to go back there on Tuesday for Owen's birhtday party and Taylor's play performance! I can't beleive Owen is one already!!!

Then on Wednesday night we get to sleepover at the parade route! So I will soon have a bunch to blog about!

UFC 100!!!

Last night we had a bunch of friends come over for the UFC fight! It was great fun! The girl's are obviously not huge fans, but it was great fun to hang out and watch the guys kill each other!! HAHA!

We had a bunch of food, got Little Caesers and all pitched in for the pay per view fight! I can't believe how these guys fight! If they get a a punch in it is so hard! They are bleeding, their faces get swollen! Just craziness! but fun to watch! HAHA!

We had a bunch of people form work, plus Mandy and Troy came over, and Meghann brought her boys! I ended playing with Gunner for a lot of the night! He is so stinkin cute! We played Mr Mouth, which is a game where you flip flies into the frogs mouth. then he said he wanted to play chess, I got the board out, and we started getting the pieces out. I had probably 5 out and he stood up and said, i don't wanna play this anymore and walked away! :( It was funny because everybody in the room heard him and they were all laughing at me! Sad day! So he decided to sit with Carter an stuff his face with Swedish Fish.

Meghann and Me!

We ended having a great time! I'm glad everybody was able to come over! We will definitely do it again!

HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY!!!

July is one of my favorite months! I love fireworks and I LOVE parades! I LOVE that living in Utah we get to celebrate twice!!! I LOVE getting together for barbecues with family and friends! i LOVE that the weather is nice!!! I LOVE walking outside and seeing that American flag waving in my yard each holiday! I LOVE that the boyscouts put them up and take them down for me! (If only Christmas lights were that easy!)

I LOVE America!!!

Today started out to be a terrible Fourth of July for me!!! Instead of going to work I stayed home throwing up. (and just to stop your thought process right there.....NO I am not pregnant) So, Christian went to work while I stayed hom e and tried to sleep. It wasn't as bad as it could have been, luckily! I started feeling better around 3 or 4. So, I was able to actually get out and enjoy myself. I am NOT a homebody so I had to get out of the house! Since my friends from work were having a relaxing barbecue I decided I would be ok to go. Plus I really just wanted to get out.

So, we got dressed and Christian drove us to Ashlee's place! I'm really glad I went! I ended up havign a great time! Very chill, very low key, but very fun! We had a little barbecue, hung out, talked, and listened to music. After dinner Ashlee pulled out twister! You will see by the pics below that they had a great time! I was the designated spinner since I didn't want to test my luck! After Twister we watched the fireworks. Ashlee's backyard has an amazing view so we were able to see a bunch of different shows! Plus her brother was lighting some of his own.

Being silly with the camera!!! Got a little out of control!!!

Me, Ashlee, and Meghann

Christian and Jake

Meghann, Ashlee, and Landon(who looks a little freaked out!!!)

Twister Fun!!!

So, in the end my fourth was great fun! Nothing crazy, just chillin with friends! It was great! Now I can't wait for the 24th!!! We sleep over on the parade route downtown every year!!! so excited for that!

Hope everybody had a great Independance day!!!

Good times!!!

On Wednesday night Jamie, jon and the kids came to stay with us! Her kids had been wanting to go to the Lehi pool for awhile, so we decided to go! I also invited Meghann and her boys and their friend Danny came! It was great to get her kids with Jamie's kids they got along great!
We started by all meeting at Wendy's for dinner where the kids sat at their own table and really enjoyed themselves! After dinner we headed over to the pool in a TERRIBLE rain storm. Good thing the pool is inside!
The Legacy Center is really cool! I had never been and it was SO fun! There are a ton of things to do! There is a little kid area with two little slides, and little bouncy seats for babies in the water! Then there is a large pool, but it is only 3 feet so the kids could touch all over. There is a lazy river, with a small lazy river in the middle, there is a very tall, very large, and very dark tunnel slide that goes from the inside of the building winds around the outside and then back to the pool on the inside! (so cool) Then there is a large play area with lots of water falls, tunnels, slides, steps, and a huge bucket of water that dumps when it gets full. It was a very cool place and the kids loved it! Christian and I had a great time!

After the pool we said goodbye to Meg and the kids and headed back to our house. We hung out for a little bit and then went outside to do sparklers! It was fun! The next morning we went to IHOP for breakfast and it was very tasty! On the way back home we stoppped at a park to let the kids play. We all jumped on the swings for a bit and just hung out on the grass. On the way back home from the park we stopped to get snowies! Very yummy! We hung out at our house for a little bit outside, playing mario kart, and eating some snacks, then it was time for them to leave. It was great to have them over!!! I LOVE polaying with the kids and jamie and I don't get to see each other very often so it is always good to catch up!

For some reason Christian and I were so tired we took a nap for a couple hours. When I woke up I got a voicemail from Meghann saying she was headed to Training Table cuz it was half price cheese fries day! Who can pass that up?!? Not us! So we met Meghann there and the Leann and her family also met us there. It was a great meal, but the place was super packed!!!

Christian and I had talked about going to see a movie.

So after Training Table Christian and I went to see Transformers! Very good movie. We liked the first one better, but this was still very good!

So, it was a great day! A great couple of days! Unfortunately Jamie took a TON of pics but her camera or computer wouldn't let her download them, so this is all you get. But just imagine how much fun we had! And if you haven't been to the Lehi Pool you should go!
