Busy Busy Busy!!!

Maybe I should have changed the blog title to LONGEST BLOG POST EVER!!!!

Well, obviously I have not blogged in awhile. We have missed Vegas, Conference Weekend, Christian's Dad's 75th birthday party, St. George, and most recently I had a Pampered Chef Party. So, this will be a very condensed version of what we have been up to lately. If you want the step by step go to Mandy's blog, she is WAAAAY better at this than me!http://www.mthargett.blogspot.com/

Well, we have obviously been having some fun!!! I think I talked about it before, but we decided with part of our tax return we wanted to go on a mini vacation. So, we did just that! Our Best Friends Mandy and Troy were planning on going to Vegas and invited us to go along. We had all been wanting to go on a vacation for a long time so we decided this would be it! We went the last weekend in March, the 29th-31st. It was GREAT to get away, and we had a blast with them!!! We did a lot of 21 playing, which I won 36 bucks!!! We ate some great food! We laughed a TON!!! We went to a bunch of different hotels, laid by the pools (which there were three of!) The best part was just being with them, and having a good relaxing time!

Even though we only had 3 days we packed in so much fun it was awesome! We went to a dualing piano show, the Treasure Island show, the M&M factory, the Shark Reef Aquarium, and walked probably 500 miles total. It was a great trip! And we got to fly their thanks to Christian's mom and sister who work for JetBlue! We had a ton of fun! I will post a couple of pics, I took about 100 so I can't do them all, sorry!

We stayed at the Excalibur

We played the slots....Woot Woot I won!!!

I laughed so hard I cried! Seriously, Bawling!!!

YAY for Mardi Gras Beads!!!

The next activity was Conference Weekend. Every year for the past 4 years we have gotten together as a large group Conference weekend. We always go to Layton and we have a girl's night while the guys go to priesthood, and then we all hang out afterwards. Sometimes the guys play xbox, sometimes we all play games together. Then we sleep over at my mom's house and we all watch conference in our pj's at my mom's house! It is pretty much in my top 5 for traditions! Especially sicne we keep adding people to it each year! Mandy and Troy are now regulars for the whole thing, they even sleep over for the next day! It is awesome! So this year we met at Jamie's for a girl game night. We had tons of great food!!! We played Disney Scene It, which we found out Meghann ROCKS at! then the guys came home and we played buzz word. It was a great night! We had a good turn out, and lots of babies!

Babies, 7, 8, 9, and 10 months old all boys!!! How fun!

This was the winning team, obviously Mandy was bitter

Oh how cute our boys are!

The next day we all woke up and Jeff had made us a great breakfast. Then we all got comfy on the couch to watch Conference. It was a GREAT conference! I love it when they speak! they are so inspirational! WOW! So, overall it was a great Conference Weekend! They always are! I LOVE our tradition and I am so glad Mandy and Troy are there to Join us! They are just like family now. My neices and nephews love seeing them as much as me! maybe more than me! haha Morgan is in LOVE with Troy it is so cute!

We ended an awesome weekend with an AWESOME party! Christian's Dad turned 75 on April 1st. So, everybody got together for his birthday dinner. We have a large family and so normally there is a couple here and there that can't make it, but everybody came this time, it was great! We had a great meal of ham and funeral potatoes, and awesome rolls! We had the neices sing a song while Adam played the piano, it was a gorgeous song from Les Miserables. then while we mingled Adam played the piano. He is 14 years old and is amazing!!! He doesn't read music very well, so he plays the piano by ear! He even wrote his own song! It was awesome! So, his music was in the background while Linda pulled out Phil's scrapbooks. All of these old pictures of him in the past, thier wedding announcement in the newspaper, he even had a letter sent to him from one of the Apostles! It was so great to see pics and learn more about him! We had a great time!
Great shot huh!!!
All the girl's and Grammy singing their song!

We gave him a picture of all of the Prophets in their Temple Clothes in the Salt Lake Celestial Room. He LOVED it! YAY!

Jamie and Jon and their kids have had a tradition the last few years to go to St. George for Easter, this year I decided to tag along. No Christian, unfortunately. We had a great time though. We relaxed, played with the kids, went swimming, went shopping, watched movies, had really really yummy food! and Nat had a Pampered Chef party for Jamie while we were there! We decorated easter eggs, had a huge easter egg hunt, and the Easter Bunny came for the kids!!! We threw Steph a baby shower while we were there as well!!! she got a ton of great stuff!!! We also got to go to the Warm Springs in Nevada. About an hour away from St. George is some church owned property with two pools full of warm springs natural water. So we went swimming there all day! Also, there is a large feild of grass to play on, a playground, and a river you can walk through. when you are in the river you feel like you are in Hawaii!!! It is gorgeous! It is completely encased in palm trees, the river is also part of the warm springs so it feels like you are wading through a hot tub! It was great! It was a good trip and it was great to see Brandon, Nat, Grandpa, Granny, and Ty and Steph. We got to play outside!!! Natalie was planting flowers! Meanwhile it was snowing in Salt lake!!! I LOVE ST. GEORGE!!! Everytime we go though, we wonder why we don't live there! I would move there in heart beat!! Just find my husband a job!

Morgan and Halle decided to Lay out with me

Yarn game at the shower, Jamie lost big time!!!

Owen and Taya playing! This weekend Owen figured out what a camera was and would give a huge cheesy grin everytime I put it in front of his face! So cute!!!

This pic doesn't do it jusice, but this is the river.

So, we had some great times!!! Only thing I would have changed was bringing Christian along to St. George! Hopefully next year! Now we are just relaxing and taking it easy for a little bit! Whew!
